July Newsletter & propoganda I AM falling for
summer bucket list, trend predictions, hosting ideas, and products I emptied this month - welcome to the monthly newsletter.
On my summer bucket list:
Host a pizza making night - we recently picked up a Breville pizza oven, which is said to be more user friendly than the outdoor Ooni one! We need to perfect our dough / topping ratio before we officially host a pizza party though…
Get on a boat somewhere - I’ll even take a canoe in Lake Tahoe! One thing I loved about living in Seattle is the lake life. Enjoying your summer revolved around being on the lake, tanning on a dock, or watching the sunset from someone’s boat. We have beaches in LA but it just doesn’t hit the same!
Horseback riding in Montana / Wyoming - This was actually my original dream for my bachelorette back in 2024. I have only rode once before in my life, and going somewhere with epic scenery and long grasses sounds like a photography dream come true.
Take a pottery class - now that I’ve been on my short nail game, this was always a dream girls night activity! I want to make a new matcha bowl or an incense holder.
Marathon training - My husband and I have been running together 1-2x a week but as the 4 month mark gets closer, we are turning to the Nike training plan to prep for the big race!
Weekly farmers market runs - support your local small businesses!
Summer Trend Predictions:
layers - skirts over pants, tank tops
lace up flats - IMO I think these are trendy, but if you’re more of a girly girl wanting to incorporate more sneakers into your looks I love these ones.
bold patterns - animal print, polka dots, stripes
western boho chic - think suede and fringe! boho bags are also making a huge comeback, I recently picked up this one that I can’t wait to style.
sheer lace - barely there layers, easily thriftable! adds a little extra texture to any outfit
effortless hair - some men hardly shave every day, and noticing women do less and less which I LOVE. Bring on the tousled bedhead, braids, high ponytails!
natural lashes, berry tones and faux freckles! I’ve been reaching for a tinted spf in lieu of foundation and reaching for a lip tint for my lips and cheeks (this one in the shade P-inked is my favorite right now)!
Product empties / quick reviews:
Dr Althea 147 Barrier Cream - this was hyped on tiktok from the skincare community and I’ve noticed hardly ANY breakouts when I used this regularly, but it still keeps my skin hydrated. Definitely a repurchase.
Mediheal Blemish Pad - these are the toner pads that put me ON, I get why the kbeauty girls are so obsessed! a quick swipe after cleansing to lightly exfoliate and tone. A must in your gym bag!
Kaxi Hold Everything Claw - best. hair clips. ever. They hold my thick hair up in the chicest french twist. Great to add on to a gift too!
That is all for this month’s newsletter! Thank you for making it to the end.
Talk soon, xx Christine
